The SouthWind Music Festival will be held at the SouthWind Park and Zane Caverns
near Bellefontaine, Ohio, on June 23rd and 24th.
This festival is a benefit event with all proceeds being donated to the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band.
The festival features the best of the area's Blues, Reggae and Jam bands.
Zane Shawnee Caverns and SouthWind Park are owned and operated by the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band,
a state-recognized division of the Shawnee tribe, and the only division of the
Shawnee to still reside in the ancestral homeland of Ohio.
In1996 the tribe purchased the land around Zane Cavern to reclaim some of their ancestral grounds,
and this festival is to help them preserve the area.
