The SouthWind Music Festival is a benefit for the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band, a state-recognised division of the Shawnee tribe.

When: June 23rd & 24th 2006 Where: Zane Shawnee Caverns & SouthWind Park 7092 State Route 540   Bellefontaine, Ohio Cost: $15 day of the show $10 presale through bands $12 presale throughTicketmaster   The SouthWind Music Festival will be held at the SouthWind Park and Zane Caverns near Bellefontaine, Ohio, on June 23rd and 24th. This festival is a benefit event with all proceeds being donated to the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band. The festival features the best of the area's Blues, Reggae and Jam bands.   Zane Shawnee Caverns and SouthWind Park are owned and operated by the Shawnee Nation United Remnant Band, a state-recognized division of the Shawnee tribe, and the only division of the Shawnee to still reside in the ancestral homeland of Ohio. In1996 the tribe purchased the land around Zane Cavern to reclaim some of their ancestral grounds, and this festival is to help them preserve the area.   Bands will include : Brown Street Breakdown Groove Therapy Skeleton Crew Midnight Blue w/ special guest Demolition Crew The One Eyed Show Burning River Band Noah Wotherspoon Sharon Lane Seefari BoomBox The Goods Rob Dread UMRAH African Dance & Drum Organization Native Outreach Drumming Jimmy Baker & Blues Encounter Emcee: Ras Robert Special Guest: Tim Arnold
